REPOST: AGENT PROVOCATEUR / MEKON / LRD

All the way back to the letter A when this blog was new and almost no-one was reading it. Anyhow, on to the music. This repost is for Agent Provocateur, a short lived group led by Mekon and including notable producer Danny Saber.

Back in April 08, I said: Agent Provocateur was a 1996/97 collaboration between John Gosling (ex-Psychic TV and also known as Mekon) Matthew Ashman (Ex Bow Wow Wow) Dan Peppe, Danny Saber (producer and former member of Black Grape) and female singer Cleo Torrez. Agent Provocateur, a band with noble aims, but a tragic twist in its own future. The Agents’ guitarist Matthew Ashman died in 1997. And the group did not continue, leaving an album and a few singles.
