That Alex Metric tune “open Your Eyes” featuring Ian Brown is back (for the third time), with a video and some remixes. Still kind of prefer the instrumental. Loved Brown on Massive Attack but not quite for this.

Starts very slowly this one. But by 1.30 gets going. Electro but not full of the hugeness of the original.

This is more like it. Long build that keeps the ascending chords that made the original so ace. Turns the ‘happiness’ factor up to 11. Summer disco music. Go on. Wave your hands in the air. You know you want to.
Blurb: Alex Metric and Steve Angello’s massive dance track “Open Your Eyes”, featuring the vocal talents of indie legend Ian Brown, will be released on 8th May 2011 through Positiva/Virgin Records. The instrumental was released via BeatPort at the end of January and has been tearing up the dance scene ever since with spins from: Pete Tong (who said the track was so big it would need its own festival!), Zane Lowe and Annie Mac with a massive response from the public via text and email. The single will also feature remixes from Third Party, Tim Manson, and coming soon, a remix from Style of Eye. Alex Metric will release an album, also entitled ‘Open Your Eyes’, later in the summer and will feature original material, remixes and productions.
