WEATHERALL REMIXES PART 4: MBV

Next, guitars to the max for Weatherall’s remix of My Bloody Valentine’s Glider EP and a remix of the track “Soon”. This samples Westbam’s Alarm Clock to great effect. Guitars set to phase, delay and stun and breathy Ah Ha’s throughout, with a sort of funky drummer backing thing. Shoegazing remixes don’t get any better than this my floppy fringed young things.

  1. I can’t explain the brilliance of this song enough. Or Come Together for that matter. Untouchable.

  2. One of Wevvers finest moments IMHO. Last third is a tad long/ repetitive but there is a killer shoegazer-y shift/drop in this that beggars belief. Interestingly sampled by the patchy Go Home Productions’ Breaking My Bloody Process (together with Kasabian, Stone Roses and The Music) Mash Up form couple years back.
