NEW MUSIC: Dennis Jr. – Elektro Donkey
Last appearing almost a year ago, Dennis Jr has a new album – Elektro Donkey – out now on Norway’s Beatservice Records. Although mainly operating in nu-disco, much of the album is polite jazz-funk house hell. But the title track is a different proposition. This dances to a completely different beat. Slow and gyrating with bells. And bells are never bad. The promo says “an addictive slow-motion groover filled with bold, bell-like melodies, pulsating synth pads, and hand-clap rhythms” which is pretty much spot on.
