NEW MUSIC: Hybrid Theory – Whispers Talk
Garage. Not really a genre I’ve ever thought much of. But this EP shifts that opinion just a little. It has that light skippy feeling of garage, with a slightly more solid bass. And none of that skibbidee, brrrp stuff. An’ I used ta live near Croydon, so it’s me manor. Ya get me? Ahem.
Whispers Talk is light and gentle. Lovely synth underpinning. Quite radio friendly. Long Walk Home is a bit slower, bassier and chunkier. A bit more clatter. I preferred it. There are then remixes by a load of people I’ve never heard of and who need not detain us here, except Pasteman & Tanka, who give Whispers Talk an almost House feel.
Blurb: Brand new EP from Hybrid Theory, this time round featuring two original tracks “Whispers Talk” and “Long Walk Home”.Both tracks are on quite a deep garage vibe.Weve got the cream of the crop on remix duty this time round including Famous Eno, Pasteman & Tanka and Whole Sick. The EP has gained early support from Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio1, Marco del Horno on Rinse FM, and DJ Mash on capital FM aswell as many of other.
