I✇KA – Yeah
We had a rock-based track from Ioka the other day, despite him identifying himself as a dnb artist. Here’s another track. And this isn’t dnb either. It’s an ambient minimal trance track. Free download.
Ioka is from Dresden and studies at a music university. Thought we’d subject him to Ted’s Top Ten quiz:

And so to the track – Yeah. A slightly undescriptive title. But there are samples which indeed say “Yeah”. Starts a bit slowly this one. Needs a bit of time to warm up. At the minute mark, when you’re starting to lose interest, the synths move into view. All goes a bit dreamy. Ioka describes the track as minimal. It’s more than that. It has definite ambient trance feelings. Perhaps a bit like Michael Woods’ remix of Cafe Del Mar. It’s not exactly going to have you throwing shapes but definite home listening.
