The XX – Angels (Theatre Of Delays Remix)

We had an original from Theatre of Delays a couple of days back (very good it was too – see here). Now, he’s back with a remix of blogosphere darlings The XX and their new track Angels. Free download.

I should preface this by saying I’m not a fan of The XX. I’ve found too much of their stuff to be too forgettable. So, here goes. The original’s all about the vocal, with the music hardly there. As for ToD’s remix – it’s sweet downtempo synth stuff. A bit more substantial than the original but, ultimately, pleasant but no more.
