Buttha – Heroes EP
Buttha is Amor Fati, another of those who has been around since the 90s. This EP is terribly German in its techno. It’s quite clean and reserved. But the title track is a lovely piece of minimal. Listen or buy.
That Amor Fati was born in Germany is no surprise. The whole EP has that German techno sound and is very, very well done. Heroes is the best thing on the EP. It’s clean and slightly dreamy piece of minimal that gradually beguiles. Transmission is a bit more synth based in its minimalism. But never quite gets to a resolution or ending. Never Going Back Again has a bit of Ibiza but in a quiet way. Fantastic Moments moves away from the minimal template into something a bit more directly house music, deep house even. This is a nice EP for home listening but might not generate enough oomph for a club.

Blurb: Amor Fati aka “Buttha” born in Hamburg is linked to the club life since the beginning of the 90s. No matter if it’s in the Tresor, the E-Werk or the Omen, Detroit, Techno Chicago House and the Frankfurt Sound inspired him as well as the freedom linked with it. Since that time Amor Fati produces under the name ‘Buttha‘ and released several of his songs under a different name at Contentismissing Rec. In the last years he spent a lot of time on Ibiza and let himself be inspired by the nature and the spirit of the island.
