Barny Carter – Castel
You might remember we had a track – Park – by Bristolian Barny Carter a few weeks back. Here’s another from the Still Life EP, out at the end of the month. Like last time, Castel is a beautiful piece of downtempo electronica. The stately background washes of synth give it an introspective air. This is offset by the fractured beats and bubbling foreground. A really clever arrangement, mixing dance and hip hop. No doubt, an EP to look out for.
Blurb: Barny is a 22 year-old Bristolian multi-instrumentalist, producing a unique blend of electronic music; fusing home-made samples, cut up beats and ambient synths. A piano technician by day and musician by night (piano, guitar and drums), Barny truly has music running through his veins.
