Boerd – Velocity EP
Boerd’s new EP was released yesterday. It rather drifts past but in a good way. Wavelength is full of static hiss and distant voices on the radio set against some almost-steel guitar. Very Paris Texas. Shuttle ups the tempo a touch and focuses more on the synths. Flimmer has a shuffly sense of wonder. Velocity brings back the synths, perhaps a bit too much in an 80s fashion – especially from the squally sax. But, overall, a lovely little EP.
Blurb: This is my third EP “Velocity”, released on August 14th through Comorbid Records! This EP is more downtempo and chill than my previous releases, and the sound is even more dreamy and nostalgic (I think!). The beautiful cover made by DW Design sets the perfect mood
