Been a while since we had some Maribou State. This remix for Submotion Orchestra came to my attention via Kick Out The Jam. Downtempo bass-driven remix for free download.
Maribou State are a London-based duo, whose music tends towards a lush yet brittle house, with a digital R&B tinge. This remix isn’t that different from their rather gorgeous template but does come with a deeper and more noticeable bass element which bloops its way through the track. Submotion Orchestra are a Leeds-based seven piece whose sound has a high degree of similarity to Maribou State, albeit a bit more dubstep. Like they were made for each other.
