Kalipo – Bierchucks
This had me right confused. Thought Kalipo was an ice lolly but that’s Calippo. Then thought Bierchucks was an instruction but instead it’s cosmic disco for free download.
Kalipo is Jakob Häglsperger from Berlin. Bierchucks is a lovely deep cosmic disco / nu-disco tune that (I think) samples Dinah Washington’s 1963 tune This Bitter Earth. The vocal really anchors the spaciness of tune to the earth and stops it spinning too far out. Fabulously chilled.
