Chris Coco – End Of The World
We had clips from Chris’ Freedom Street album a few weeks back when I said “The whole album is an unusual hommage to a hot lazy summer in London. Makes a change from everyone focusing on the urban grit and decay.” Chis has now released a whole track to listen.
End of the World includes vocals from actor/singer Jim Sturgess. This is a lazy downtempo tune. A little whistling, a little Balearic dub and something wistful and darker in the vocals – ‘run from the wicked world’. Chris says “End of the world is a happy sad song, the music is kind of sweet but the words are a little dark. It was originally inspired by sunny holidays, then Jim and I both read The Road and something a little cloudy happened.”
