JORI HULKKONEN AS THIRD CULTURE – STEP ASIDE feat HARRI FALCK
Jori Hulkkonen’s been around since the mid 90s, being a name I’ve recognised but not producing anything that’s really grabbed me. Let’s see if this release, on My Favourite Robot, will alter that. Free download.
The track has a vocal from Harri Falck, who is also from Finland. I don’t know anything about Harri, other than his vocals sound much more as if he has a rock or pop background. This affects the track quite strongly. And not in a good way. The tune is a low house throbber. Quite downtempo/downbeat. Without the vocals, this’d be fine but the vocals overly dominate. Rather spoils the effect.
