Stay+ – “Crashed”
Unusually for me, here’s something that sounds a bit main room ravey house. I’ve never heard of Stay+ before but Crashed was apparently premiered by Annie Mac. There’s a bit of peaky chords and a contemporary uplifting sound but it stays positively the right side of cheesy. Listen only. This isn’t out until November.
Blurb: Stay+ (Stay Positive) are about to drop their biggest single to date, ‘Crashed’. The single -premiered by Annie Mac on Radio 1 and by Pitchfork online- represents a big step up for the project, helmed by producer Matt Farthing. ‘Crashed’ is a heart-in-mouth rave monster, baring the same haunting, fractured hallmarks that have established Stay+ as one of the most talked-about new electronic names around, but this time transcending shadowy depths for an adrenalin-charged dancefloor joyride. The single will be released on Black Butter, the du jour dance imprint responsible for Rudimental’s recent Number 1 smash, and also home to the likes of Hostage and Kidnap Kid. Having recently completed a show-stopping tour with Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, and destroyed most of the summer’s festival dance tents worth visiting -including Bestival, Lovebox, Pukkelpop and Parklife- he’ll be taking his unique live experience out on the road again this autumn, for shows with Rustie, Gold Panda and Koreless (dates below). ‘Crashed’ will be released digital-only via Black Butter on November 5th.
