Suburban Dream – Not Dead But Sleeping

It may not be Sunday but I need something gentle to start the week. Suburban Dream’s chilled sounds should do the trick.

Not Dead But Sleeping is a new release coming soon from Suburban Dream. Here’s the title track in a demo form. It’s quite lovely. A cascade of xylophone and slow hip hop beats combine with gently rising and falling strings and a patchwork of film samples. As one sample says “totally captivating“. And as SD says “a tune with a Jelly vibe whilst putting the Suburban Dream vibe along side it.”

And if that isn’t enough here’s a mix of original work done for Namaste

Blurb: Suburban Dream is the work of Dublin producer Ciaran McCarthy. It began as an act known as Crowd Control, producing downbeat, sometimes jazzy, chilled out grooves. With confusion arising from other bands using the same name it was decided to change to Suburban Dream. This name is taken from the label set up in 2007 by Crowd Control “Suburban Dream Recordings” With a number of well received releases behind him, Ciaran is now concentrating on an album and on developing a live show.
