Here’s a couple of The XX remixes. Includes the tracks Sunset and Angels. Free download.
First up, Sunset gets a remix by Volta (Christian Nathler from Toronto, Canada). Free download here. This is a gentle piece, driven by the chiming guitar and soft beats. Full of lush romance. Really quite lovely.
If you liked that, check out Volta’s own work. on his Mossing/Wasabi EP. I was expecting more gentleness. Not so. Mossing is a stern piece of IDM techno and Wasabi is much the same but with added electro buzzing.

Second, Angels gets a remix by WeAreForHere. This takes the whispy original into a more house / 2step direction but doesn’t quite know how to resolve itself at the end.
