THEE PAUSE – tix2prague (SINGLE)
You might remember we had the original and Larry Jefferson mixes of tix2prague here and here. Now, the whole package is released, with remixes from minimalist bass, Chicago Word Brigade and Nudge Nudge Nudge.
The minimalist bass mix loops up the vocal into a throaty noise and basses on. Sounds like an electro spin cycle. The Chicago Word Brigade mix, in the words of John Peel “starts a bit quietly this one” before eventually reaching a leftfield electro crescendo. Nudge3 go for a primitive electro funk which reminds me of early 80s Cabaret Voltaire. Easily the most successful of the trio. But none exceed the Larry Jefferson remix, if I’m honest.
