I always knew this year was going to be difficult, with the London 2012 Games and what’s followed. But I am really feeling tired at the moment. Dog tired. It’s not the routine stuff that’s the problem it’s the thinking stuff. Even been forced by how I’m feeling to withdraw from voluntary work that I’ve been doing for 10 years and would like to continue to do. Which is why this album comes as such a blessed relief. Sophisticated IDM ambient, complex yet soothing, gentle yet satisfying. And more than a hint of melancholia, which fits the mood.
