Here’s a free download released to celebrate PIAS Recordings 30th anniversary. It’s a remix of Tiga’s Shoes from a few years back. The one with the treated vocal that makes Tiga sound like Madonna. The original is arch, quirky, witty and critically the wife loved it. This version is a bit more minimal and lacks the lushness of the original. But the lyrics still raise a smile.

That’s uncanny. My missus loves this track too, whilst much of my musical tastes leave her nonplussed. i’d put it down to Tiga’s JGE allure (just gay enough). A big pink frilly star to anyone that’s managed to read to the end of the sleeve notes to Tiga’s otherwise excellent DJ Kicks LP for further supporting evidence…
