LIVE SUNDAY: LES RYTHMES DIGITALES (1998)

A bit of live electro from the impossibly diverse Stuart Price in his Les Rythmes Digitales disguise with a track that you’ll have heard from a car advert (Citroen?).

Stuart is from Reading but originally claimed he was French (French house was big at the time) and that his name was Jacques Lu Cont (geddit!). He was originally on Wall of Sound records, more normally associated with Big Beat. But his style was much more electro with a heavy 80s influence (he had the terrible red leather jacket to go with it).

In addtion to LRD, he’s also been Zoot Woman and does remixes as Thin White Duke. And that’s not to mention his work producing Madonna.

This track is from Creamfields in 1998:
