Although Tom and Ed produced only three 12″s under the Dust Brothers name, they did have a consistent track record of remixes under that name and quite a lot of their best mixes date from this time. A couple today from a straighter dance perspective and a couple tomorrow from a more rock and pop perspective.

First up, a remix of Lionrock’s “Packet of Peace” in 1993. Lionrock mainman Justin Robertson recalls “‘Packet of Peace’ was one of their first remixes, I got them to do it after hearing ‘Song To The Siren’ which was a fucking incredible record.”

Next, also from 1993, a remix of Deeper Throat’s “Mouth Organ”. Deeper Throat were Pete Lazonby and Rad Rice. They only released a couple of singles together, although both released more stuff separately.
