YOUR CHOICE: WEATHERALL

Yes, it’s that man again – Weatherall, remixing downtempo duo A Man Called Adam.

I covered A Man Called Adam all the way back in March but didn’t include the tracks below. To recap, A Man Called Adam (sometimes abbreviated to AMCA) isn’t a man at all, rather an Ibiza-based (since 2003, Cornwall-based) British dance music group comprising Sally Rodgers and Steve Jones, who were pioneers of the chill out genre.

But enough about them. What about Weatherall? Well, he provided a couple of mixes of AMCA’s 1991 Chrono Psionic Interface EP. The sound is charateristically Weatherall of the time, with the dub echo drums. But not among his best mixes. The EP rather portentiously says “I bring you a vision of hope. An extra dimension will correct your wayward souls; And man’s seemingly boundless compulsion, to build, to expand, to create, will culminate in his final and most fabulous invention…”
