D IS FOR THE DRUM CLUB (PT26)

As DJs, producers and promoters, this duo was critical in Progressive House’s movement from crusty raves to London nightclubs in the early 1990s. The Drum Club’s records blend tribal, heavily percussive drum tracks with elements of Dub, Ambient and psychedelia.

Post Drum Club, Lol Hammond went on to forge an immensely successful DJ and writing career and is now the proud father of two and Charlie Hall turned to teaching and now spends a third of the year in Italy teaching Art History to English and American students.

And this is definitely the last post on The Drum Club. A couple of remixes:

Ege Bam Yasi – Variation 2 (Drum Club Mix)

Pop Will Eat Itself – Underbelly (Drum Club Mix)
