NEW MUSIC: HIDDEN GHOST BALLOON SHIP
A remix of Hidden Ghost Balloon Ship, with the feel of a shoegazing band given an ambient-style remix. Sounds a lot like Ulrich Schnauss’ recent work.
Hidden Ghost Balloon Ship is the duo of Trevor Naud and Little TommyDaniels, both of Pas/Cal. LTD drums, and Naud layers on the guitar,atmospherics and ghostly vocals. The PR blurb says “Their self-titled debut album is a series of mysterious, dizzying avant-pop vignettes.” I’m not sure about avant pop, more like indie synth pop. But the remix of Latest Journey is the only track to really take it anywhere special, if you liked what Spooky or Drum Club did to Chapterhouse in the 1990s.
