D IS FOR THE DISCO EVANGELISTS

Some classic, epic progressive house from house legends David Holmes and Ashley Beedle, collaborating as The Disco Evangelists.

David and Ashley collaborated in the early 1990s as the Disco Evangelists on two of their own tracks and a few select remixes, one of which featured as part of the “Your Choice” series in December.

The two singles were 1993’s “A New Dawn (Back To The World)” and “De Niro”. The De Niro track features a section based on Cockeye’s Song by Ennio Morricone from the soundtrack to the 1984 film ‘Once Upon a Time in America’. The movie stars Robert De Niro, so presumably this explains the origin of the track title.
