Some wonderful glacial techno from the mid-90s and Electronic Eye. Whisper it softly, perhaps this is an example of the dreaded intelligent dance music.

Electronic Eye is one of the many names of Richard H. Kirk. We all know Cabaret Voltaire, the pioneering group of which he was a member until the early 90’s (covered previously here). But he has also used more than 30 different aliases including Agents With False Memories, Al Jabr, Anarchia, Biochemical Dread, Port Au Prince, PSI Punky Dread Allstars, Reflexiv, Revolutionary Army (Of The Infant Jesus), Sandoz, Signals Intelligence, Silent Age, Third Man, Trafficante, Ubermenschlich, Ubu Rahmen, Vasco De Mento and Wicky Wacky.

Electronic Eye was a pseudonym used by Richard Kirk in the period 1994-1995. It was then resurrected in the new millennium. There have been three albums under the Electronic Eye name – “Closed Circuit” (1994), “Idea of Justice” (1995) and “Neurometrik” (2000). The featured tracks come from “Idea of Justice”, released on the Beyond label. It is considered a milestone in intelligent ambient techno.
