H IS FOR HARDFLOOR (PT3)

More prime German techno. A different post this one. Hardfloor are venerated for their longevity, their quality and innovation – Acperience for example. But sometimes they can be almost average, seemingly in cruise control. Perhaps can maintain it forever.

1998’s ‘Strikeout’ was one such cruise control moment. I’ve re-listened to it for this post and I can’t remember a damn thing about it. You may be thinking that this is a pointless post. You may think what idiot posts tracks that are rubbish. If there’s a point, it’s that Hardfloor rather went downhill in the late 90s and I’m not aware of them producing anything of real note in the last decade. But have Mahogany Roots to remind us of when they did consistently hit the sweet spot.
