To end Orbital week, 1999 singles “Beached” and “Style”.

“Beached” was written for the film “The Beach” starring Leonardo DiCaprio from the book by Alex Garland. This is an uplifting, quite trancey, track with the concluding Leonardo sample “I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know its not someplace you can look for. Cos its not where you go its how you feel for a moment in your life. If you find that moment, it’ll last forever.” Like the best Goa Trance track ever. The B side, “Doctor Look Out” starts with an unearthly scream and the title words. This is one of Orbital’s oddball dance tracks, paying deliberate homage to Celia Derbyshire and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

From DJ Magazine interview with Orbital (August 09):
Q: Can we expect some fresh Orbital productions in the future?
Paul: Who knows? Everyone keeps asking us that. It could happen again, I really don’t know.
Phil: I just want to enjoy the gigs for what they are and keep a natural flow to it all. If it’s going to happen, it’s going to happen.
