Another repost. I’m spoiling you. Indie dance band Fortran 5 get remixed by David Holmes and Moby.

Fortran 5 were David Barker and Simon Leonard, with occasional assistance from Kris Weston (aka Thrash from The Orb) and were active in the first half of the 1990s. Fortran 5 were somewhat similar to acts such as The Orb, Fluke and Underworld. Their sound was mainly pop/electronic, but were notable in particular for their offbeat cover versions of Pink Floyd’s Bike and Derek & The Dominos’ Layla. The core members of the band were David Wilson Baker and Simon G. Lawrence Leonard, who previously recorded as I Start Counting, and went on to record as Komputer. Fortran 5 also remixed songs from artists such as Inspiral Carpets and Laibach. Simon Leonard also wrote a book called Fortran 5, which was published by Malice Aforethought Press. Fortran was a programming language.

I did have a Orb mix of Fortran 5 but it isn’t on the HD anymore. Sorry about that.
