CHARITY SHOP CLASSICS (59)
Only the one act again today. And a bit of a re-post, since its a different mix of Livin’ Joy’s big hit “Dreamer”.
I featured this back in September under the letter L. Then, I said:
Livin’ Joy were Gianni Visnadi, Paolo Visnadi, Janice Robinson and Doris Diggs. Not many Dorises in House music. More’s the pity. Discogs says: “Livin’ Joy was an Italian House project of Gianni Visnadi and Paolo Visnadi. Their first single “Dreamer” featured the voice of vocalist Janice Robinson. Released in 1994, the record became a hit the following year. Unable to reach a deal with Janice Robinson for the follow up single (and subsequent album), she was replaced by Doris Diggs AKA Tameka Starr. Using the tested formula of “Dreamer”, “Don’t Stop Movin'” did well, but was the last big club hit for Livin’ Joy.”
Here is that big hit, “Dreamer”, last time from 1994, this time the 1995 re-release:
Livin’ Joy – Dreamer (Junior Vasquez Sound Factory Mix)
Livin’ Joy – Dreamer (Rollo’s Big Mix)
Livin’ Joy – Dreamer (Original Club Mix)
