Fresh from his success at Breakspoll, Elite Force makes available a download via his Facebook page (here) and there’s some new mixes to listen to below.

He says: “I was thrilled this year to find myself short-listed for no fewer than six awards at the annual Breakspoll bash, and unlike last year when I played the graveyard shift to an exhausted dancefloor, I was blessed with a peaktime slot at this year’s party. I’d barely arrived at Cable (great club – go check it out) before being summonsed to the stage for the awards, & was fortunate enough to pick up the awards for BEST PRODUCER and BEST LABEL for U&A Recordings amongst some serious competition. I wasn’t sure how winning something would make me feel, given that awards ceremonies have never been too high up the chain in life’s rich list of priorities for me, but now I know, and I can safely say “thrilled to bits” is the answer.”

He adds: “There will be an album dropping in May containing extended versions of tracks written alonside Klaus Badelt (Pirates of the Caribbean / Gladiator) and a 70-piece orchestra from the Motorstorm Apocalypse sessions for the PS3 game. The game is out in Europe on 15th March & a month later in the US and features 14 new slices of ‘bass-driven-warehouse-music’ from myself and the other half from Noisia with a couple of remixes from DJ Shadow thrown into the mix for good measure! Three of the extended versions are now up on the SOUNDCLOUD PAGE.”

The three tracks made available really are excellent, with that something extra from the symphonic backing. Barrel Down is a huge bass driven monster, with that bass washing away the orchestra. Probably great in a club but a bit much for my kitchen. I can see the ripples in my coffee. Loco is good but has that kind of sawing strings that says “tense car chase”. The outstanding track of the three is Shockland. This has a great bass but it doesn’t overly dominate. The track gets carried at the start by a melody until a great drop smashes in at 1.20. Then the bass comes to the fore. Fills the kitchen nicely.
