S IS FOR STEX
Since we’re back in the past with The Beloved reposts of yesterday and tomorrow, a revisit to something posted at the end of 2008 with Stex’ Still Feel The Rain. Connections to The Grid and The Smiths
At the time, I said I knew nothing about the artist and that the only interesting things I did know was that 1990 single Still Feel The Rain featured ex-Smiths Guitarist Johnny Marr and the track was remixed by The Grid. I now know loads more after literally minutes of dedicated research. I know that the track was remixed by both The Grid and John Coxon (Spiritualized and Springheel Jack). That these versions are The Grid remixes. And. Errr… That’s it. Oh, and go for the instrumental. The vocals are annoying.
