TEN TECHNO CLASSICS 10: Leftfield – Storm 3000
Finishing with a track which I always preferred to the likes of ‘Release The Pressure’ or ‘Open Up’. I first heard this in a club around the time Leftism was released and promptly experienced one of those ‘What the fuck!‘ epiphanies that electrified you on hearing an unusually good tune, then dancing your tits off in a delighted, manic effort to demonstrate appreciation for said tune. Shockwaves of synth and an undercurrent of bass build ever more insistently before the drums explode into life and all hell breaks loose, unleashing a magnificent wall of sound. How anyone could stay still hearing this is beyond me. A transcendent song from an epic album. Good times.
Here endeth the lesson.

Leftfield – Storm 3000 (Live 1996)
At the risk of causing offence, I would have preferred the original track. I may sue.
And given the ease of availability, the record company would have sued if I’d posted the original.
Point taken.
