I’ve no idea why The 14th Minute should choose to remix this old chestnut, of all things. Surely it’s been done to death already. But since we like chestnuts, the 14th Minute and it’s Christmas, let’s give it a go.

Starts off as a fairly reverential treatment of this modern classic, with the expected electronic disco approach. But at two minutes in 14th Minute start treating it like  remix, not a sacred text, and start playing around with the track, giving it a stuttery disco shuffle. The piano gets its own solo and this remix comes into its own. I still wish they’d go for remixing something further away from their own synth disco origins (how about Underworld’s Rez, Orbital’s Satan or Dave Clarke’s Wisdom To The Wise) but this is a decent enough Christmas present. Thanks boys.

Our new remix of the amazing clocks by Coldplay. Spread the love and play it loud.
