AN EXPLANATION OF ACID TED IN APRIL

I was going to post this tomorrow morning but thought you might think it a cheap April Fool’s joke. After a thousand post over the last year and developments at work, looks like I’m going to take April off from the blog. There will still be posts. But these will be reposts from the alphabet era but with different tracks. I’ve no idea whether there will be any posts with new music (beyond the few days worth I’ve pre-prepared).

And so to the very first post on Acid Ted from Feb 2008:

Richard D James needs no introduction. Stuff from the Cornish legend has always veered between the brilliant and the unlistenable. I was blown away when I first heard Analogue Bubblebath 1 and Digeridoo for the first time and have always tried to retain the faith – but it has often been tested and keeping up with his ever-changing psuedonyms becomes wearing.

Here is an early rarity from Volume magazine/CD issue No. 4 (1992).
