John Roman – Infrared EP

Following last year’s Sala EP and this  year’s Reclusions 2, here’s a new EP of stark techno. Listen or buy.

The EP opens with Infrared, which is as brutal as its predecessor War Drums was on the Sala EP. Even the sample doesn’t make it any less punishing. Thankfully, Down (The Drain) takes things back a bit. Obviously, that’s all relative, as this still has a wobbly sub-bass before some sirens come in. The EP closes with T.G.S. which is pared down marching music. Fairly hard work listening to this in one go.

Blurb: After his original tracks “Sala” and “Petrified” (already graced Laidback Luke’s BBC Radio1 Essential Mix and Brodinski’s Fabriclive60 CD) and with additional supporters ranging from Riton, Sinden, Fake Blood, Harvard Bass and even Skrillex, we’re now very happy to be able to present a full EP from him on Lektroluv. This guy is gonna be big in no time, mark our words. Release date: 21st of May (Beatport / vinyl)
