M. Weber ‘Shockraum’

New release forthcoming on Dubmetrical. Quality techno with old skool German trance flavours. Listen or buy.

The original mix has that classic early 90s marching techno/trance sound. The Javier Orduna mix takes tings towards a more tehcno bent but makes the track more samey and a bit duller in the process. Emanuele Pertoldi’s version is darker still but has enough stops and starts to maintain interest. Original mix is the best. Clips only I’m afraid.

Blurb: After a noticeable absence Dubmetrical makes a welcome return with a 3 track EP offering everything and more that we have come to expect from this label. Full on Techno flavours coupled with high quality production all blended together to serve up another successful outing for Dubmetrical. Making his second appearance on the label M.Weber’s techno romper ‘Shockraum’ kicks proceedings of in style with elementary true to the roots of techno production styles in full view. Not letting up from the moment the track starts ‘Shockraum’ just keeps rising and rising to fine peak. True to form this ep features 2 more debutant artists once again showing Dubmetricals ambitions to bring new talent through, first up Javier Orduna puts an old skool twist on ‘Shockraum’, reflecting nicely on the original while maintaining the connection and original vibes. Completing the line up and also making his debut on the label Emanuele Pertoldi’s take goes down a more dark and sinister avenue while again staying within touching distance of a very strong original production. All in all a very welcome and overdue return to the fold for a high quality label.
