Lymbyc Systym – “Prairie School”
I always describe this as a dance blog. But my chequered listening history has as much rock and indie in it. I therefore rather like something on the rock / electronic border. And this therefore appealed. Some similarities to Balmorhea that featured here a couple of days back. And, indeed, on the same record label – Western Vinyl. Free download.
There’s something gently rolling about this track. The interplay between the eletric piano, the muted drums and the synths. Even a bit of flute action. Gives an evocative, uplifting, expansive mood.
