Crystal Castles – Fainting Spells (THEE PAUSE RMX)
Not content with remixing the Crystal Castles’ Plague here a few days ago, Thee Paus3 is back with another Crystal Castles remix. This time Fainting Spells, in a remix he describes as ‘brutal‘. Free download.
Given Thee Paus3’s love for all things industrial / NIN and anything black, BLACK, BLACK! I assumed this remix would make your speakers melt and cerebrospinal fluid leak from your ears. Not so. This is obviously a bit goth but given a terrific pop dynamic in a wordless thrill ride. It is only occasionally punctuated with brief periods of white (black?) noise. Dark but shining.
