Love Scenes – Blissed Out Youth
Love Scenes are a synth pop duo (Leah Loefke and TJ Grace) from Buffalo NY who featured last year with their album Classy Excuse For A Trashy Experience. They’re back with their new album Blissed Out Youth. Free download (name your price).
Blissed Out Youth is a bit more vocal indie pop than their last effort. But there are two particularly fine tracks that I enjoyed. Album opener, Intro, is a star-gazing beautiful ambient tune that burbles fabulously with Leah’s breathy backing in wide-eyed wonder. Album closer, Child, has a downbeat synth piano and Leah’s soft, sad voice. She sings “I won’t cry, I won’t cry” but I might.
