Renegade Soundwave – Space Gladiator

And the last of this RSW trilogy of posts with Space Gladiator. This also dates from 1989 and formed the other half if the 12″ with The Phantom which appeared here yesterday. Free download.

As for the original, have the Satellite of Dub mix. It has those biscuit tin drums of early RSW plus a lairy and paranoid vocal. I originally thought this record was about outer space but I now think its about the Space Invader computer game.

And here’s a remix by Jz Knights which turns it instrumental and from an edgy paranoid track into something much more loose limbed and funky.
