Metronomy – Tens And Tens (Theatre Of Delays Remix)
Theatre of Delays is back with a remix for English band Metronomy. I’ve always found Metronomy a mixed experience. Their stuff is a bit hit and miss. What can Theatre of Delays do? Free download.
The original track is a lo fi electronica buzzing by on simple synths. Quite early 80s. The remix is an altogether lusher affair. The vocal remains but is complemented by a warmer fuller backing, with more of a chilled summer evening feel. Pleasant but doesn’t quite overcome the limitations of the original track.
To be honest, you’d be waaay better off downloading this excellent Theatre of Delays remix of Boys Noize What You Want from a few weeks back. This is where ToD’s synth mastery really comes into its own.
