Booka Shade – Glory Box
Booka Shade have a new album coming out. Here’s the rather fine B side to the single.
There’s a new single from Booka Shade called Blackout: White Noise, which has vocals from Chelonis R. Jones. This is a rather dull techy thing. This is all a bit disappointing and mirrors the disappointments of recent Booka Shade tunes. But the B Side Glory Box is a different kettle of fish. This is all early Detroit with piano chords repeating, a slinky bass line and cool Carl Craig beats. Really fine.
