Kraak & Smaak – Squeeze Me (Featurecast Remix)

This is one of those ‘bloody hell’ remixes. Free download.

Southampton’s Featurecast turns out another astonishing remix, this time for Kraak & Smaak. The original of Squeeze Me is is rather nice b-boy tune, with lots of brassy stabs and a poppy attitude. The remix though. Goodness. Slows the tune down to give it more of a breaks feel. It ramps up the bass and the attitude. Blows it through a drum and bass blender and spatters the results everywhere in a technicolour yawn. Excellent work.

Original mix – quite a fun video

Blurb: Taken from the new Jalapeno Bass compilation released exclusively on Juno on the 22nd of July. Bass. It’s the linchpin of everything that’s funky on today’s dancefloor. Over the years, Jalapeno has heard its fair share of basslines and feels that it’s time to pay homage to the sometimes underappreciated stalwart of dance music. This compilation brings you a heavyweight mix of tracks released on the label, plus a few exclusives, from the likes of Featurecast, Redlight, Kraak & Smaak, RackNRuin, Dr Meaker and Futurizm to name a few. There is one thing that every track has in common – Not only are they funky, they have great bass too.

  1. Pure gold: I’ve liked the original, but this one is another dimension! Thanks man. On a side-note: I’m working on collab stuff I hope I’ll be able to finish soon. 🙂
