Simon Shackleton – Ten10
A new track from Simon Shackleton and a mix for free download. But you may know him better as the man behind Elite Force.
The new track is Ten10. He explains that the title is about his mother “I’m so proud of this track that’s been released today on Beatport … probably more so than anything else I’ve written in the past 20 years. I titled it ‘Ten10’ after my mother’s birthday (she passed away 13 years ago now), purely because it felt ‘special’ and it felt somehow worthy of a dedication to her memory.” This makes it kind of hard to review. Luckily, it’s a fine track. It’s not the breaks with which his Elite Force name is associated. It’s much more delicate electronica but with an uplifting little melody. If you told me it was by Max Cooper, I’d have believed you. And that’s high praise indeed.
