Without You – Mills & Whitehead

In a set of remixes it’s not often I’m drawn towards the tech house one. Mills & Whitehead’s forthcoming Without You release is an exception. And a podcast for free download.

The original mix is a housey kind of tune but lacking any fireworks. The Adrian S remix is fair enough but still doesn’t have something to lift it above background music. But the tech rework makes a virtue of the constantly twanging base and structured grooves to create something a little darker and twisted. This gives it access to earworm territory that gradually reels in your interest.
