D/R/U/G/S – You Are Everywhere EP
After all those remixes, back to something original. D/R/U/G/S is back with his new You Are Everywhere EP, out on 2 December.
This starts with Lightmachine, an antidote to seasonally affected disorder. It brings some slightly distorted but ultimately uplifting synths into your life to relieve the winter gloom. Top, top track.
Nightmachine is its more introverted twin. The synths still sparkle but in a more under the bedclothes kind of way. You Are Everywhere is synth house mixed with country & western. A combination that’s as odd as it sounds. Can’t quite reconcile myself to it. But, for Lightmachine and Nightmachine, this is a fab EP.
