Spring Bank Holiday

Statutory bank holiday from 1971, following a trial period from 1965 to 1970. Replaced Whit Monday, which was formerly a public holiday whose date varied according to the date of Easter. The legislation does not specify a name for the holiday, merely when it occurs. That’s today. So, obviously, it’s raining and cold. If it were warm, this upbeat indie dance track from Eat More Cake would be great. Instead, it’s a reminder of what should be but perky enough to bring a little cheer. Gather round people and warm yourself against the bpm of this tune.
