Here’s the debut release from Monoman, Robots x Humans. This is electronica from Brighton. Rather good it is too.

Monoman says “my music is inspired by blending contemporary sounds and techniques with musical styles and genres from the past few decades.” There’s a gentle melodicness to it all, which sitting here in blazing sunshine makes perfect sense on tracks like Intro and 4am. But when he moves to the dancefloor, as in tracks like Dansen Dansen, I find myself switching off. There are plenty of others who do that stuff better. But focused on the emotive, as in the wonderful Interlude, this is great stuff.
